Providing love, essentials, and opportunities to children In need..
We are dedicated to promoting God’s Children’s Home's mission of environmental sustainability through innovative solutions and community engagement. We focus on the children to not just have fish but also have a fishing pole. Many of the children who are part of God’s children‘s home and have left are now teachers, bankers, nurses, missionaries, farmers and other fields that help others.
At God’s Children’s Home, we envision a world where sustainable living is the norm. Our mission is to educate and empower
We home and care for orphaned children in the Philippines providing essentials like food, clothes, water education and life opportunities.

More About Us
God's Children's Home was established in 2012 in a small village along the Dolores River of Eastern Samar, Philippines and is part of River of Life Mission established in 2000, founded by Fely Kooistra. God's Children's Home shelters orphaned children ranging from infancy to adolescence. Children who were once abandoned, abused and neglected are now loved, taught and cared for by our dedicated caretakers.
Poverty is widespread and there are children who live way below the poverty line. In many cases families can't afford to feed and educate their children and are either forced to work, starve, or left on the streets. In other cases parents have died in acts of violence, accidents or natural disasters like typhoons and flooding with children left as only survivors. Some children are born unwanted and often parents either abandon them or abuse them.
We have found many of these poor children during our daily outreaches to surrounding villages around Dolores of Eastern Samar, Philippines. We then adopt them, take them in and provide food, clothes, medical care and provide education as well as young adult qualifications so they can grow and live to their full potential.

"We'd be happy to arrange a visit to the orphanage for you! However, to ensure the safety and well-being of our children, we require all visitors to undergo a vetting process and agree to our rules and regulations. This is a standard procedure to protect both our children and the organization. Would you be willing to go through our vetting process and familiarize yourself with our guidelines before scheduling a visit?" If so please email help4fely@gmail.com
Fely Kooistra Founder of God's Children's Home and River of Life Mission.
Fely is a widow who was born and raised in the village of San Isidro, situated along the Dolores River of the Philippines. At the early age of 13 Fely was sent off to be a maid in Manila and lived a hard life and was faced with much violence and physical abuse. After loosing 2 of her 5 children through poverty and hardship she then later moved to Australia. There she raised her two boys and a baby girl all on her own as a widow.
After raising her own family and the loss of her husband, Fely chose to follow her heart and God's calling for her to seek and save the lost and to help the poor back in her home land in the Philippines. Selling her family home in Perth, Australia, she headed back in the rural and poverty stricken villages of where she grew up. She embarked on a journey to spread God's word and build a solid foundation for the people - one of biblical truth and love. She now spends all of her time and energy for the betterment of others, building a community through education, leadership, faith and hope.
The energy and inspiration Fely brings to the people of the Philippines is truly amazing. She is a leader who helps people overcome everyday struggles and hardships, build homes, implement an education system and integrate food and water systems and provide employment opportunities. But the most remarkable product of her work is the strong foundation, the community growing together in God's Love.
“Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother; to thy poor; and to thy needy.”
